Studio 13 is situated in the premises of what were the old (1930s) public conveniences, and which later became a florists. The old signs for “Ladies” and “Gentlemen” can still be seen on the wall above the windows.
Artist and craftsman Stephen Barnes using his skills as a cabinet maker, transformed the premises into a light and airy art gallery, with a picture framing workshop to the rear.
The gallery and workshop opened for business in 2003, and since then has provided a personal and comprehensive service for all aspects of picture framing.
Studio 13 also provides a showcase forum for Stephen himself to exhibit unique and contemporary artwork in a relaxed and informal setting.
